'Pacific Rim: Maelstrom' begins filming as seen in these BTS photos

The first images of the shooting of 'Pacific Rim: Maelstrom' in Australia have been launched.

The filming of Pacific Rim: Maelstrom, the sequel to the 2013 film directed by Guillermo del Toro, is taking place in Cronulla (Australia), but this time under the direction of Steven S. DeKnight.

To begin generating attention among the moviegoers, Pacific Rim has launched a series of images take from the filming location where you can see John Boyega, the protagonist.

While, as mentioned, the shooting is currently taking place in Australia, this place is the second location in which is recorded in the country since before the team moved to Queensland to shoot some scenes.

Based on the photographs, we could assume the character of Boyega is in the midst of a war, however, it is still very rushed make assumptions because the film will be released until February 2018.
