Thespian Eva Noblezada is a Fil-Am actress known for her magnificent portrayal as Kim in the revival of Miss Saigon on NYC’s Broadway production.

The Antoinette Perry Award for Excellence in Broadway Theater, also known as Tony Awards, is the most prestigious award-giving body in live Broadway industry. The organizers officially released the list of nominated artists last Tuesday, May 2.

On the list, Film-Am Eva Noblezada was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Musical for her role as Kim in Miss Saigon. The actress also played the same role for the West End London production in 2014, where she worked with singer Rachelle Ann Go who played Gigi.

Noblezada will be competing against major theater figures Bette Midler (Hello, Dolly!), Denee Benton (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812), Patti LuPone (War Paint) and Christine Ebersole (War Paint). If ever she ends up taking home the award, she will be the second Filipino Tony award winner, next to Lea Salonga, who also played Kim in the 1991 Miss Saigon on Broadway.

The Tony Awards ceremony will take place on June 11 at the Radio City Music Hall in New York.
